Refund policy

The Hair Scientist wants you to love your bundles. This refund policy applies to all orders placed at hairscientist.shop.

What can be returned

Unused, unopened bundles may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the product price if all of the following are true:

• The hair has not been washed, styled, cut, colored, bleached, installed, or otherwise worn
• The original The Hair Scientist tag and bundle wrap are still attached
• The hair is in the same condition as shipped

Please contact us with your order number before sending anything back. We will confirm the return and give you the shipping address. Do not mail returns until we send that address.

What cannot be returned

• Hair that has been washed, styled, cut, colored, bleached, or installed
• #613 Blonde bundles that have been processed further — this hair is already pre-lightened; additional bleaching or lifting voids return eligibility
• Bundles returned after 14 days from delivery
• Bundles missing the original tag or wrap

Damaged or incorrect items

If a bundle arrives damaged, defective, or is the wrong length or color, contact us within 7 days of delivery to arrange sending photos of the hair and packaging. We will replace the item or refund it, including return shipping, at our expense.

How refunds work

Buyer pays return shipping on unused, non-defective returns. Once we receive and inspect the hair (typically 3–5 business days after it arrives), approved refunds go back to the original payment method used at checkout. Shipping charges are refunded only when we shipped the wrong item or the item was defective.

Checkout may offer credit card, Shop Pay, PayPal, and other methods Shopify enables. We refund to that same method. We do not publish a public return address so unused hair is not mailed without a confirmed return.
